Ted Bundy

Born at the Elizabeth Lund Home For Unwed Mothers in Burlington, Vermont on November 24, 1946 to Eleanor Louise Cowell, his father is unknown. His full name is Theodore Robert Bundy and is an American Serial Killer. He liked to murder many young women across the United States. These murders took place between 1974-1978. He would typically bludgeon his victims and then strangle them to death. He was also engaged in rape and necrophilia.

To avoid social stigma with his father, Bundy's maternal grandparents, Samuel and Eleanor Cowell, claimed him as their own son. Because of this, he took their last name and became, Theodore Robert Cowell. During his childhood he believed his mother was his older sister. Once he got into his high school year he said he learned that his older sister, was really his mother.

During Bundy’s high school years he was a shoplifter, compulsive thief, arrested twice as a juvenile and was on his way to becoming an amateur criminal. Eventually his high school years came to an end and he graduated in 1965. He then went off to the University of Washington where he attended college and graduated in 1972.

Bundy went to prison many different times and some of the early prison interviews he had done he had described himself as “the entity”, how when he was a teenage boy he used to look through libraries for detective magazines and books on crime. In those books he would focus on sources which described sexual violence and had pictures of dead bodies and violent sexuality. He was also on death row in Florida and described a part of himself and that was that he was fascinated by images of violence and sex.

Bundy was executed January 24, 1989.
